The SFIVET library in Lugano opened in 1990, when the former library was moved from the Centro Professionale di Trevano to its current location in via Besso 84 in Massagno.
The library became part of the Ticino Libary System in 2005.
The SFIVET library in Lugano is open to SFIVET staff members, teachers attending basic and continuing training courses and vocational school teachers from the Canton of Ticino.
External users may consult or borrow some of the documents locally and may take advantage of interlibrary lending.
The resources contained in the SFIVET libary in Lugano are listed in the Ticino Libary System catalogue. All in all, there are over 6,000 books, magazines and other learning materials (VHS, audio cassettes and CD-ROMs). The libary also has a collection of articles that have been published by SFIVET staff, a collection of SFIVET continuing training courses and degree dissertations (learning projects) written by SFIVET course participants.
