With their study “Dropout rates in vocational education and training” Nadia Lamamra and Jonas Masdonati from SFIVET’s regional campus in Lausanne have hit upon a highly interesting and controversial topic.
Over a three-year period, these two researchers from SFIVET Lausanne’s R&D Division recorded 50 hours of interviews with survey participants, compiled and analysed around 1,500 pages of data, and wrote several articles. This interesting study has now culminated in the publication of a 311-page book by the Antipodes Publishing Company entitled, “Arrêter une formation professionnelle. Mots et maux d'apprenti-e-s.” (available in French only). The new book has drawn considerable attention in the media.
